Worth the price with the amazing foods! Will def come here more ofen.
Good food, easy to order through touch panel.<br/ Ordered miso nasu teshoku, with adding salmon sashimi.<br/ Total bill is roughly $27.<br/ <br/ Good rice (I guess rice is from Japan), but cooked slightly watery, texture was too soft. Also the serving size is quite small.<br/ I'm not a huge eater, and felt comfortably after eating. For a big eater, you need to 2 dishes!<br/ <br/ Service was not great. You need to get attention. I was confused the water was self-serving or not. I got my water by myself, but other table received from waiters plus top up.<br/ <br/ It is a chain restaurant, I would not mind to come back for food again.
Came here during their 2nd anniversary celebrations where they had 30% off the total bill.<br/ I ordered the Unagi Hitsumabushi Teishoku $26) which came with a few side dishes and the main dish, Unagi eel) on rice. The eel was quite chewy and not soft as a good eel should be but the flavours were good. For first timers, there is an instruction sheet on how to eat the hitsumabushi as there are a few ways you can enjoy the dish. I also think the portion is not that big so for hungry people this probably won't be enough.<br/ I also ordered the Matcha Anmitsu $8) for dessert which had a strong matcha flavour. I think for $8 though you would expect something a bit more.<br/ <br/ Overall, for the price I paid I think its really good value but for the regular price, I would probably consider again.
Yayoi serves a nice variety of teishoku and à la carte. This is one of my dad’s favourite restaurant in Chatswood and I enjoy eating here as well. The only downside is there’s always a long wait.
