It seems like a great place to gather with a large group, as they have several long tables designed for socializing. They are also experimenting with a board game concept that I’ve seen in other cities, although they are just getting started. The main downside, unfortunately, is the pricing. I tried three or four different drinks, and they all cost between $7 and $8 for about 6 to 7 ounces, which only filled my glass halfway. The measuring system has issues, as it includes the initial foam in the total, regardless of how you tilt your glass. This makes tasting a variety of drinks challenging, as it’s much cheaper to fill your glass with one drink than to sample several. I learned this the hard way: my second drink, which was mostly foam, registered as 7 ounces, but once settled, it only filled about a quarter of the glass. Overall, it’s an interesting concept and worth trying out, although I doubt I would come here regularly.
My partner, a friend, and I were just passing through Chattanooga on our way to Gatlinburg, TN when we discovered this gem thanks to Yelp. It was fantastic! They have 60 self-service taps with a variety of beers, cider, wine, and more. We’d never encountered a place quite like it before. The menu was limited, but everything we tried was amazing. We sampled a bit of everything. The atmosphere was also really enjoyable, with plenty of board games and trivia available to play with friends and family. I highly recommend Fountainhead! It’s a great spot for a fun night out, whether as a couple or with a group of friends or family!
This is a fantastic spot to grab a drink (and a bite to eat), unwind, hang out with friends, and enjoy the evening. Although the card system for pouring your own drinks was new to me, the staff guided me through it, and I actually prefer it to waiting for a server, especially these days. The drink selection was impressive, and I loved being able to try a variety of beers to find just the right one. While we didn't play any, they offered free board games, had plenty of TVs, and even one tuned into cartoons to entertain the kids. We unfortunately missed the live music, but I know they have it occasionally. I appreciate having a spacious place to relax that doesn’t feel cramped, even when it's busy. I highly recommend it!
We went to Chattanooga last month with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I came across Fountainhead Taproom on Untappd, when looking for a brewery or taproom with highly rated beers. Fountainhead had the best selection, by far! They have a huge list of beers, ciders, wines, etc on tap. They even had a cold brew coffee on tap, as well as a full bar. The taps are self-pour, so you get a card when you come in that you touch above the tap you want to pour from, and it measures how much you pour in your glass. Then at the end of the night, you close out your tab and it totals out how much of each drink you got. It's very convenient and easy. They had a full food menu, but we only ordered appetizers because we had planned to go somewhere else for dinner after. We ordered so many orders of the pretzel bites with cheese, though! They were so good, we just continued to order more. Their staff was super nice. We had a large group, so I decided to reserve a table just in case. It was $50 to reserve it, but that went towards our tab. It didn't end up being necessary, but it worked out. We had a great time, and will definitely return on a future trip to Chattanooga!
First time in Chattanooga, typed in “Kombucha on tap” in google maps, and this came up. Best Monday night spent… ever. It’s so fun trying all the different drinks and there’s board games to play as well. Have fun! Giggly recommend! :
