The Purple Daisy Picnic Cafe

My son and his family live on Lookout Mountain. After a nearly six-hour drive to see them, I usually make a stop at the Purple Daisy to grab a Rainbow Sandwich to enjoy on my way up the mountain. Then, as I’m leaving about a week later, I’ll pick up another Rainbow Sandwich for the drive home. I always look forward to this delicious treat whenever I visit.

Very casual, service is minimal, food is decent. Not great, but quick and pretty tasty bar b que.

The banana pudding was incredible! It exceeded all expectations and was an absolute treat. Highly recommend trying it if you get the chance!

This is a fantastic and fun spot for lunch. Our group of seven found plenty of space outside, complete with fans for comfort. The menu is quite inventive, offering a wide range of choices for every meal. Everyone in our party was thrilled with their food, and the service was outstanding. While none of our specific orders are listed in the checkout section below, everything we had was absolutely delicious! We only needed one bill, but our waitress was unaware of that initially. She was extremely pleasant, which added to the enjoyment of our lunch. I highly recommend this place. There's ample parking, and the restrooms are very clean.
