While in Bagan our tour guide brought us there as one of the best kept secrets. For $5 you have a set menú of 4 curries and 5 side dishes with steamed rice. You can’t vary from the menu as this is one size fits all type of place but there is no better place to sample the local cuisine.
Food was awful! Dogs and birds were everywhere! we lost our money! Do not recommend it even to my enemies!
Food was cold and it seemed like it was prepared in the morning. The meals cost around 4000K. The staff is not very friendly.
Wow... this place has got me missing Bagan. It's buffet style so for about 4000-5000 kyats (I think 4,000 for locals and 5000 for foreigners, or maybe it depends on lunch or dinner time, either way still cheap), they bring out several different dishes and rice. The dishes range from mutton curry, chicken curry, fried fish, a Myanmar salad dish, a couple of curry vegetable dishes, a couple of spicy dips, fresh vegetables, etc. Situated next to Ananda Temple and close to a few other restaurants. Tip: If you can't take spicy, this restaurant is probably not for you.
