Chebeague Island Inn

After reading our earlier review, the general manager of the inn promptly contacted us and offered to address the issues we had with our room, which we greatly appreciated. Despite some room maintenance issues, the inn is located in a stunning setting, the restaurant served outstanding food, and the service provided was consistently friendly and professional. Overall rating: 2 rooms.

Just returned from a one-night stay at Chebeague Island Inn. I really enjoyed the food, the beautiful outdoor views, and the friendly staff. However, room 301 had a few issues that should not have been present considering the high price we paid for our stay including dinner. The hair dryer didn't work, which was disappointing for my wife. The tub drain was slow and we ended up standing in several inches of water while showering. There was no drain plug for the sink, and we found a toothpaste cap from a previous guest stuck in the plumbing. The ceiling fan blades were covered in thick dust, making it look like a used swiffer picker upper. Room improvements are definitely needed for the amount of money we paid.

We had a great time stopping for cocktails on the porch during our bike ride around the island. The service was excellent, with a rating of 5, and the location was convenient with a rating of 4. The highlight of the hotel was definitely the great view.
