It is a sizable hall with typical folding tables and chairs. The staff managing card sales and concessions were friendly. And if you like bingo cuisine, then this is likely a hall for you. Their hot line menu changes from game to game and includes homemade favorites like pierogi, kielbasa, spaghetti, pork chops, roast beef dinner, hot sandwiches, homemade soups, and homemade baked goods, as well as the standards like pizza, candy, donuts, snacks, coffee, tea, and sodas. One thing I'm not a fan of here (that I don't think is actually permissible according to NYS's Charitable Gaming policies) is the admission packet is a flat $20, without the option to buy a smaller regular games admission only. When my husband and I play together, I always get the admission package for the hall (if there is one, some are totally ala carte) and he gets the base regular admission, which typically runs $3 $5 and usually is for just a regular game three face. This hall doesn't offer that base regular option, or at least doesn't make it clear in their program or signage. Also I usually like to play a nine face page, and for specials will buy one more three face. I tap out at about 12 boards, my reflexes aren't what they once were, haha. Well, extra specials here are a minimum six face. I haven't been to a hall that doesn't have a three face extras option besides this hall. Probably my biggest qualm of playing here is that I dislike the way the screens work. There are TV screens that show what numbers have been called as the game is going on. But when a bingo is called, those screens all wipe and flip to display the confirmed bingo. This is problematic because if you want to check your numbers at this time, which is very common among bingo players, they disappear from the screen while the bingo is confirmed. This is another reason I wouldn't want to buy too many extras here, since you can't even readily check your numbers between games. Overall bingo here is okay. There are other weekday evening games I would choose over this one, so likely won't return to one of their 7pm games too soon. But there are fewer weekday afternoon options out there. I don't get to play weekday afternoons much in general because of work, but when I have a day off I would consider an afternoon game here for a nice change of pace compared to my usual 9 to 5 drudgery. Even if it's not my favorite bingo, it's still not work, HA! So it isn't all negatives at Knights of Columbus bingo where I would totally avoid it, it's not that bad. But I won't go out of my way to pick this hall regularly, either.
Very nice bingo, well run, and pleasant experience. Concessions have a wide variety of foods, desserts and snacks. Coffee is fresh and all the volunteers are helpful and accommodating... Great Job !!!
Only been in the right side of the building for specials events. Once last year for a Polish soup fest (which was awesome) and most recently for a holiday craft fair. It's a large space and they have a small bar inside that's usually selling drinks and snacks (chips/pretzels) during events. Every time I've been here it's been clean and events have been well organized. They advertise upcoming events on their Facebook page Father Justin Knights of Columbus. Very big parking lot and located beside Dave's Christmas store on Union. Some drive through the parking lot to get to that light when it's busy.
We Go there quite often , always room , only open on Fridays , we go for the Fish Fry , Beer Battered , Breaded or Broiled , Cajun or Lemon Pepper ... Draft beer limited to 2 kinds , although a few more options for bottles ... It appears to be volunteers working as Hostess , Waitresses and Cashier , expect it to take a bit longer to be waited on and food served , but OK to have a few beers , friendly staff .... Will continue to patronize
We had a blast at the meat raffle for youth sports at the KOC. It is a very large hall, very clean, nice bar. The meat raffle was ran like a well oiled machine, cant wait to go back for the next one. FREE BEER!
