The only downside was, the sharers we ordered, came on one big metal plate, chicken strips and chips,i would've appreciated of they came a bit more organise to go on 2 3 tables,so can everyone help themselves, instead of going to fix a plate. But other than that everything was ok,plenty space for car park, playground for kids, nice atmosphere inside, the staff was very nice. Definitely going back. Thank you very much for a nice baby shower. Parking: Make sure to register inside the pub your reg plate and you get 24h free Kid-friendliness: Playground for kids, not massive but decent.

I went to the Duke with my parents today for a roast. Firstly have to say we had a warm welcome and the pub has a lovely warm atmosphere. We each ordered a different meat roast and unfortunately were all a little disappointed. Now to be fair, we didn’t complain and we did eat it but I wouldn’t recommend. The turkey was cold, the rest of the meal was a decent temperature but I would’ve preferred the meat to at least be warm. The pigs in blankets were dried out and tough and the stuffing was so disappointing. It was the size of a postage stamp (this is not an exaggeration) and was rock hard. It’s a shame as I really wanted to like it. The desserts were nice but for the price, I won’t be going back on a Sunday any time soon. Just all in all a little disappointing and distinctly average on the food.
