The sandwiches are incredibly tasty and come in a wide variety of options. The desserts are absolutely heavenly. I am definitely planning to return to try everything on the menu! Bring your friends along, as there are so many delicious options that you'll want to share the experience with others!
Love this little cafe and the location. Staff always friendly, tables cleaned regularly and food always delicious and timely. May be a little pricier than other sandwich places, but worth it for the prettiest views. Ice-cream pretty good too!! Dogs welcomed. Main lock car park payable £5.
Been several times, fantastic spot, full working lock, free parking for customers, or you can park next door all day for a fee. Simple food made well, excellent cakes and a cream tea, reasonably priced so easy to spend 2 hours here. Cream Tea, Coffee, large slice of cake, and a very well filled toasted ham/cheese sandwich, £21.
I had a fantastic day at Paper Mill Lock. I visited the tea room and tried their sandwiches, which were available either cold or toasted for £7.00 each and came with crisps and coleslaw. I also enjoyed a delicious coffee and there was a lovely selection of cakes to choose from. The staff were great - very friendly. It's a lovely spot to relax and watch the world go by. The nearby car park charges £5.00 per car for the full day or £3.00 from 2.30pm onwards. The tea room closes at 5.30pm. I will definitely be returning for another visit.
This is a wonderful spot to have a casual lunch, enjoy scones and coffee by the river. The restaurant has a small car park, but the adjacent one now charges £5. However, this is not affiliated with the tearoom so please don't hold it against them. Street parking is an option, but it is limited. Additionally, there is a canal boat tour available (must be booked in advance) that departs from next to the tearoom. Combining this with your visit makes for a fantastic afternoon outing.
