Sapori - Chelmsford

Located within the Best Western Atlantic Hotel, this restaurant has a limited menu and is closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It's best to dine elsewhere.

Unfortunately, our experience at Sapori was disappointing. The menu featured items like fish finger burgers, which seemed out of place in an Italian restaurant. The food appeared to be microwaved and lacked any attention to detail. My minestrone soup had an odd taste of curry powder, prompting me to send it back. I was informed that a replacement was not available as they had run out. The brie starter was lukewarm and the main courses, including the lasagna, were mediocre with poor presentation. The overall quality of the food was below par, with my wife's prosecco being nearly flat. In conclusion, our meal at Sapori was unsatisfactory and I would caution anyone considering dining there to reconsider. This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Hopefully, Best Western will address these issues promptly.

Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and made to feel very welcome. The staff were exceptional and the food was absolutely fantastic! We couldn't find a single fault with anything. The chef appeared to genuinely enjoy preparing every dish that was served. We were fortunate enough to sit at a table with a view into the kitchen which was organized, spotless, and well-staffed.

Real italian food with friendly attentive service. Started with stuffed muscles in a tomato sauce,, which tasted really good. Followed by veal cutlet with tomato and rocket salad, massive portion which all at table tasted and enjoyed! They also raided my chips.... Everyone enjoyed their meal and italian wines, and hope to return next time we are in Chelmsford. Congratulations to all the staff for giving such an enjoyable evening

We stayed at Best Western Atlantic Chelmsford, which has a side opening into the Sapori Restaurant. Nice decore, clean tidy. The waiter was very professional and attentive. However the food was outstanding. The presentation and food design were amazing, not to mention taste which was probably the best Italian food we’ve ever tasted. The chief clearly has a passion and pride in his work. Thank you Massimo and team, we had a very enjoyable evening.
