Unfortunately, we ended up spending too much time there and later realized we had been charged for extra expenses. We tried to dispute the charges, but were told we had to pay or face consequences. We will not be returning to this café and urge others to avoid it as well.
Today, I visited the restaurant and enjoyed breakfast and a flat white. It had been a few years since my last visit, which was when it was still under Wyevale, and that experience was terrible. However, I must say that today was a pleasant surprise. My flat white was delicious and my breakfast was equally delightful. The staff at the restaurant were kind and helpful, and the establishment was impeccably clean and well-organized. After my meal, I browsed the shop and was pleased with the variety of beautiful gifts available. I will definitely be returning, and the fact that the restaurant has dog-friendly tables makes it even more appealing to me.
We have been frequenting this café for many years and were pleased when the previous owner changed their policy to allow dog owners to sit at four large tables in front of the restaurant. On our last visit, we were hoping for a full cooked breakfast and sat at a table designated for dog owners, where we have sat many times before. This table is ideal as it is away from the main foot traffic and less likely to be disturbed by passersby. During our visit, a young man approached us and apologized for the mix-up with the table, explaining that the sign had been placed on the wrong one. Despite our attempts to explain that we had never had any issues before, he insisted that we sit outside. Meanwhile, a young blonde girl behind the counter seemed unfazed by the situation. It is disappointing that a new business would not prioritize retaining loyal customers like us. While we have never had any issues with the food or service, I cannot recommend this place now, unless you want to be treated disrespectfully.
I can't understand the bad reviews, it's a nice little place, friendly staff, varied menu, good food and delicious cake. what more could you wish from a garden centre café! I had the fish finger ciabatta, which was beautiful and fresh, well presented and with.
Came here to catch up with some friends. Lovely time had by all. Cakes are to die for. Coffee and walnut cake is a must. Scones are lovely too. Staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much!
