Yasmin Indian Brasserie - Chelmsford

The food was good, but the service experience has made me want to avoid this restaurant. We were abruptly asked to leave as soon as we had finished eating because the staff wanted to close. The bill was presented without us requesting it, and we were then asked to leave a tip. Additionally, we were encouraged to return at an earlier time on our next visit so they could close sooner.

This restaurant used to be excellent for curry, but the takeaway we received tonight was disappointing. The chicken in the vindaloo was overcooked, stringy, and dry. The chicken tikka masala had a terrible smoked flavor and was inedible. The poppadoms were thin and the dips were watered down. The mint yogurt tasted fizzy and the nan bread was dry. The only decent dish was the prawn pathia. We are leaving this feedback because we were very disappointed. Please improve.

I didn't enjoy the curry at all - it had a metallic taste so I ate very little of it. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol and was lacking in atmosphere because it was empty. The waiter stood by our table and talked nonstop, interrupting our meal. I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Looking for a new takeaway as dissatisfied with our usual one. Very impressed. Food was ready on time when we collected. Food very hot and delicious. Will definitely re-visit.

The food is incredible every time we order or eat in, staff are very friendly, place is very clean and well presented, very refined and welcoming at the same time, would recommend it to anyone as truly worth a visit
