We had a great lunch of local Flinders mussels in a Thai-flavoured broth. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the positioning of seating was well spaced to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Well done Max’s, top marks and we’ll be back.
We went for a pre-arranged weekend lunch, our welcome hook it for me. Friendly accommodating staff willing to go 'that extra mile '. Our table was by the window with a view over the vines. The food from Starter to Dessert was cooked served to perfection. The wines of course were first class not to be missed. I have eaten at good restaurants around the world, wineries, cities rural, this has to be one of the better ones. Certainly the best I have eaten at on Mornington Peninsula.
The service was good. The wine was excellent. The view was terrific.... But the food was not great... We both felt quite unwell for the rest of the day... maybe the oil for the fish batter was old? Something not quite right... Not great for the evening... What a pity... Ate lunch there Friday Feb 8th..
Entree was good. We had duck for mains which was not we expected as it was very tough. Certainly would not make the trip again. Sandra.
