Wagamamas is my go-to restaurant as a person with coeliac disease. Their menu is clearly labeled, and they have good practices for allergens. They offer a separate gluten-free menu, which is always reassuring. I ordered the mushroom skewers, shrimp starter, and a pad Thai. The manager took my order and ensured everything was in line with their allergen policy, which I appreciated. The starters were delicious, and the complimentary green tea was a nice touch. However, I was disappointed with the main dish. I chose the pad Thai for a tasty meal, but it turned out to be overly spicy with undercooked noodles. Despite thinking it was just me, my boyfriend also found it too spicy for pad Thai. I waited until the end to ask the manager about the spice level, and she kindly checked with the chef. It turned out that there was an error in the prep bags resulting in the dish being spicier than usual. The manager apologized and removed the pad Thai from the bill, even though I had eaten most of it without complaining. This exceptional service made me want to return to Wagamamas, despite the spicy mishap. Kudos to Wagamamas for their handling of the situation.
What can I say about Wagamama Cheltenham, its big and impressive. The food was very good. I had a new dish on the menu, it was a rice bowl with chicken. Very nice... in fact I shall have it again!
Absolutely what you would expect from Wagamama’s. The Pork Belly Ramen was spot on and I really enjoyed the Cherry Blossom Lemonade!
The Katsu curry was delicious, packed with flavor and excellent. The gyoza were also tasty with plenty of flavor. I would definitely visit again for some great food.
