I had been deterred due to the restaurant itself not appearing busy but they were flat out with takeaway orders and for good reason. This is as good as any other Indian food nearby and reasonably priced.
I ordered take away from here on Thursday night on recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. The price was very reasonable and the flavours in the butter chicken were the best I’ve had in a very long time. It’s a big serve and was just as good the next day for lunch. Will definitely be back and recommend to others.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We went to celebrate my mom's birthday and our entire family enjoyed every dish we tried. We couldn't find any faults with the food.
I was pleasantly surprised by the low rating of this restaurant. The food is exceptional, with distinct flavors in their curries and unique twists not commonly found on menus in Melbourne. The establishment reminds me of the Vietnamese restaurants on Victoria St Richmond in the past, with a simple, family-run atmosphere. The service is a bit slow, with staff multitasking between taking orders, cooking, and serving tables. Despite this, the food is definitely worth the wait, and I would rate it a 4 or 4.5 based on that alone.
I really enjoy this restaurant, the curries are flavorful and authentic without being greasy. They offer a variety of tasty vegetarian dishes like mushroom massaman, tandoori mushroom, eggplant options, and Paneer. The naan is fresh and the vegetable momos are unique and delicious, similar to curry-spiced dumpling samosas. I suggest trying their pickles as well.
