Sandringham Hotel - Cheltenham

The kitchen at the restaurant closed around 6pm due to being "occupied", despite many empty tables and bookings blocked for up to 1.5 hours. I was informed that my time limit would end once my meal was finished, even if it took an hour to order and receive my food. My group of 5 decided to cancel our reservation and enjoy a delicious pizza at Barbalu's Pizza Pasta instead. It was worth the walk across the street to avoid the pretentious attitude of the restaurant that prioritizes the kitchen over the customer. They couldn't even take an order because they were too busy.

My husband and I went out to dinner on Saturday night. He enjoyed his fish and chips, which were good and came with generous portions. Unfortunately, my roasted sweet salad with added chicken was not tasty at all. The vegetables seemed soggy and bland, and the chicken was tough and flavorless. The staff was friendly but appeared inexperienced. I tried to focus on my disappointing meal without causing a scene, but ultimately left feeling hungry and unsatisfied.

My expectation to cneipen is in the rule not too high when ordering grilled fish, but was pleasantly surprised. had the grilled barramundi, which was boiled to perfection. good atmosphere for large groups and family come together. good night.

They have been here regularly for many years, but find that the service is always worse. Sat nights in this month tables were not erased, had to find own sitting, 30 plus min waiting for eating. understand can be short staff due to kovid, but. other places close to still be able to provide a good service.

This is a pub. It is family style so lots of kids an noise. it is a good atmosphere the place was buzzing. The people serving were really nice and helpful. Food is not fancy. It is average old style pub food. . Just a...thing to note there is no food or drink after 8:30 pm. I would have rated higher if we could sit around for a bit longer. Saying that we had I was a good night out.
