The walls are dressed in a beautiful red or marble look and fit super to the dark wood furniture. The offer ranges from breakfast to salads, snacks, soups, pasta, main dishes and homemade desserts to various menus. The wine halls already show how selected and internationally the beverage card is designed. The more demanding gastronomy is reflected not only in the very accommodating service, but also in the prices. But sometimes it's easy to do. I also find the terrace on which grilled in summer.
We've been two to the brunch in Heck Art today. One person is about 15EUR without drinks, in children (6 12 half. It will be offered from 10:00 to 14:00. A reservation is advisable. In the Heck Art is fed on two levels: at the bottom in the bistro (see photos of isveikatha and at the top in the restaurant (a photo of me. The buffet is built in a separate very individually designed room in the upper area (so who is not well on foot: reserve above). The stairs are quite narrow and steep for a public building. I find the whole house very friendly. This is a normal residence, which is why the premises have a rather intimate character. This makes the brunch a counter-design to the offers in the big houses where snake standing in the crowd is not uncommon. The bistro rooms are painted in a warm tone and covered with small works of art. Cosy. To the brunch itself. I'll start with breakfast. You don't need to expect big surprises in the selection. However, the quality of the offer stands out positively. The fruit salad is fresh and prepared (not from the can; the raspberry yogurt is also freshly stirred together from natural yoghurt and frozen strawberries; Marmelade comes instead of the obligatory mini-passes (which always remind me of the hospital of nem glass with chic Ettikett; the meat comes very likely from nem Fleischer and not from the plastic pack and the cheese selection also likes. There are still sour pickled Italian vegetables. Cooked eggs are available on the buffet, agitation and eggs on order at the service. Dark and bright rolls and bread incl. Toaster is ready. There are plenty of service personnel. They have to do without getting hectic and are attentive and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere in which children are welcome at least during our stay. From about 11:00 you will be warmed up. We cost everything and felt delicious. If something was empty, it was relocated. There were: apple celery spices, Mahi Mahi Filet (that is fish with sugar chops and turmeric ice cream, wild boar roasts with mushrooms (later mangold and ribbon noodles as well as saltimbocca from chicken with Mediterranean vegetables and potato gratin. Of course, it was also possible to mix colourful. Next to us there was a couple that at noon á la carte ate. It was very appealing. All in all: the best brunching place we have been in Chemnitz. Probably also recommended for dinner. The only drip: it was not a single drink. Together with coffee, tea specialities and freshly squeezed juice, the invoice was then somewhat higher.
For foreign and young people who no longer know the old heroes of the GDR, what about the history of the building: In the attic of this cute house was born in 1844 the politician and former Saxon economic minister Fritz Heckert, who played an important role in the German and international workers movement. The house was still a few hundred meters far behind on the Mühlenstr. and had the house number 9. In 1974, all buildings were demolished in this district to create space for the redesign of the Brühl. The Heckerthaus was removed in memory of its historic inhabitants and at the corner of Brückenstr. originalgetreu only by 90° Grade rebuilt, at GDR times there was a museum in it. After the turn, users changed, but now the cottage is gottseidank in good condition and in good hands: In the lower two floors, the Café HECK-ART restaurant invites you to spice and potion of high quality from predominantly regional cultivation in a stylish ambience. Many Chemnitzer artists have immortalized themselves in the interior, the changing lamps are absolutely worth seeing and the unusual tables in the bistro are each with a glazed indentation that contains an artwork. The award-winning Chemnitzer painter Michael Morgner also designed a whole room that is wonderfully suitable for private parties. I've been here so often, whether brunch or lunch table, whether coffee cake or dinner on a cocktail, it just has a very special atmosphere. Nice and cozy. The food is excellent, the same applies to the cocktails. You can actually come to breakfast and stay until midnight: On the third floor, the Kunst Association for Chemnitz is home, close to the restaurant or restaurant. Café collaborates and the local artists are constantly staged with exhibitions and event series such as the artist's or philosopher's table, the series Der/Die/Das Neue und andere Projekte. An excursion to the gallery is always worth a visit, open daily 11-17! The small Heckert house is really big with Heck-Art:
I can only join the previous speakers, we also come to Munich for a weekend in Chemnitz. It was difficult for us to find something that was not Italian or almost food. Our wish was good German cuisine, unfortunately the Ratskeller was already busy in the evening with various events. We had then found the restaurant by chance and this was also recommended by a passerby. We were really excited. The service, menu and eating was top. There are no hundreds of dishes but the small menu is completely sufficient. We had a great wine, appetizer and unfortunately no more dessert. Although prices are Munich's conditions, we were not so important. So her Chemnitzer goes there.
Candle Light Dinner we felt very comfortable in stylish ambience and great menu!
