Loree's Chalet - Chemult

As soon as we entered the restaurant, the server greeted us with annoyance. We ordered some waters and wings to start, but when the wings were brought out a few minutes later, they seemed to have been microwaved. To our surprise, we were given the check even before receiving our appetizer. After requesting to order the rest of our meal - a burger, BLT, and mozzarella sticks - we were disappointed to find that the burger was made with a thin frozen patty, the mozzarella sticks came with ranch dressing (?), and the bacon on the BLT was burnt. It was evident that the fries had been fried in old oil. Overall, we were not impressed with the food or service. We suggest trying out the nearby restaurant KJ's instead. This is the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp and I spent $46 here, hoping to avoid getting sick. Save yourself the trouble and skip this restaurant.

Fine for where it is at (there are very few sit down restaurants anywhere close by). Sandwiches were pretty standard, steak was still cold in places, and sides were run of the mill diner quality. I saw some people with the prime rib, which looked pretty good, but unfortunately they were sold out by the time I ordered.

We drove past and then went back, as the outside of the joint is a bit deceiving. Inside is clean and the breakfast was one of the best. Huge omelette and crispy hash browns. Coffee was good too. Do it!

Stopped here in chemult to tired to drive.motel is cheap nothing to brag about.we had to go across the street to pay for the room.what a great little restraint and bar.suprise! There are slot machines ! After a great breakfast,I won 1,500.00 dollars on a penny machine!..so if your in chemult,Oregon stop in and enjoy the wonderful food and gamble a little.

Had breakfast here right when they opened on a Saturday morning. Everything was delicious. Not kidding, best pancake I've ever had. Super fluffy on the inside, crispy edges and cooked to perfection. Bacon was crispy. My son's country fried steak was amazing. Country gravy was also quite good. Reasonable prices. No complaints from these hungry travelers.
