I was disappointed that we had no vases, or another sri lanka short food that would have been more suitable instead of early roll. also the fishballs were very blanching, I asked if they were somewhat sambol, but the man who served us first did not understand what I asked and then advised after further explanations, they had no traditional sambol or chutney. the headbuffet looked good. there were 3 veg curries, an aubergine salad, 2 meats and 1 squid curry all served with saffron rice and popadoms. everything was very spoiled. it all went into one, there are none of the cuddly aromas that they get with traditional Sri-lank cuisine, not a chili in itself. They also miss some of the other traditional flavors that would normally form the very pronounced taste profile of the Sri lanka food. the only dish that had a real taste was the Aubergine salad. such a scandal that they decided not to serve authentic foods and instead they changed for another market. the potential was, there is an outstanding restaurant, but unfortunately they missed this brand in some distance. Perhaps the attention to current trends and the demand for authentic means of life that really tastes like what they get in the country would help them to understand that what they are currently serving is forgotten and really does a service of how wonderfully sri lanka eating is.
Great authentic home cooked fresh food. owners were friendly and let us feel that we were very welcome. would definitely recommend and will visit again.
Beautiful buffet. just a scandal that more people were not there to enjoy it.
Great value for money. nice setting and good. friendly owners.
Great Sri Lankan buffet on Friday and Saturday evenings. Very courteous and friendly family run business. Really enjoyed the food, the spiciness of the dishes varies from not at all to quite spicy, if you're unsure the chef is available to talk to which is lovely.
