Whilst the pub is friendly and those drinking there seemed to be local and were welcoming. The food was poor, the vegetables cooked from frozen were tasteless and either hard or mushy with no flavour. We didn't stop for a sweet.
We came upon this pub quite by chance, but it really turned out to be a lucky coincidence. The food came quickly and tasted really good. Ut was enjoyable to sit out in the garden amongst beautiful flowers eating the well preapared food.
We stopped by the pub earlier in the day and it seemed fine. However, when we returned for dinner, it was a big mistake. We waited over an hour for our food and when it finally arrived, all of the meals were terrible. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the chef came out and began making excuses. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice evening. We ended up leaving without eating the food.
We were staying nearby after searching trip advisor decided to visit. We had a very disappointing evening. The menu which apparently was new was very small with no starters difficult to use. After ordering we had to wait minutes for a very...poor meal. The mixed vegetables consisted of lots of cabbage cooked to a mush and peas equally badly cooked. The whole meal was bland. My husband opted for roast potatoes at an additional cost of they were just as soggy as the rest of the meal. We will not be back
