We sat at a high-top table in the bar, enjoying fantastic live music along with delicious cinnamon margaritas. The pizza and pasta were made with high-quality ingredients and evident care. Baia is a local gem that offers food and drinks on par with the best in DC. I’ll definitely be returning—again and again!
Baia is a charming restaurant with a lot of potential. I've visited twice, and my main concern is the lack of seasoning, particularly salt, which is quite important to me. Salt enhances the flavors in food, and dishes without it can taste bland, which is a real downside for me. Next time I visit, I might just bring my own salt—seriously. Also, serving lukewarm coffee is a letdown—it gives off the impression that it has been sitting around for too long. Either serve it hot or don't offer it at all. On a positive note, the service was fantastic, the menu was appealing, and the music was enjoyable. This is a nice restaurant that could make some straightforward and affordable improvements.
I met up with a group of friends for dinner, and we arrived early, so we decided to grab a drink at the bar. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. With a party of seven, our waiter, Sasha, did an excellent job managing our table. Everyone enjoyed the food; we sampled a variety of flatbreads and salads, while my husband opted for the beef dinner. The burrata appetizer was absolutely delicious, and the flatbreads never disappoint. We did order two kale salads, but they actually came with a spring mix instead of kale. However, the dressing was quite tasty, and the salads were fresh. This was our fourth visit for dinner, and we would definitely recommend this place.
The food is delicious. The serving staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations and the bar tenders are fun and know how to make a drink. Some might say it’s a little pricey however it is fresh made and locally sourced so worth the money! We will return again and again…
The food was good but everything is ala carte. We had three diners with two desserts and one glass of wine and the bill before tip was $152. We had to pay extra for sides of spaghetti to go with our chicken parmigiana and had to pay extra for bread. I won’t be visiting this place again.
