Schaefer's Canal House

Nice place in a great location. Right on the water with great views. Decor is a little dated. Drinks were delicious, but the food was just good. Not great. The menu has so many good looking seafood dishes that we definitely go back to give the food another try.

My mother, grandmother and I visited Schaefers as the last hurrah in the summer and I can't say enough positive things about it! Everything we ordered was absolutely incredible and delicious. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and gave tips and recommendations. We loved the outdoor seating area!

Beautiful atmosphere, live music, many seats and tables. It gets a little loud when the band plays too close. The food is delicious, but it only took 30min to get drinks, almost 40mim to get starters... Not enough waiters for the crowd of customers. Otherwise a cool place to sit on the water and watch the boats over. There is also a picturesque way to walk or cycle.

The atmosphere is pleasant with a view of the Chesapeake bay from the outdoor dining or bar area. The food is good, but you wait at least 30 minutes for the food, even if you only order an appetizer. That was my experience every time. No further complaints. Many parking spaces and the venue added another amount. I enjoy the Ben Cardin cycle path, which is a block from the venue.

Came here for lunch on the 4th of July and wasn?t disappointed. The space is huge. We were sat right away. The service was fast and friendly. The food was incredible! We had the crab bruschetta, seafood stack appetizer, seafood salad, oysters and a crab cake sandwich. My favorite was the seafood salad! This place is a must if you love seafood!
