For entrees we had the corned beef cabbage, shepherd's pie and fish chips, all delicious and by far one of the best Irish food we've had. Our waiter Josh was awesome, he was accommodating and kind. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. Definitely will be returning and recommend to everyone.
Service was quick staff are friendly. Last ones to leave for the night they all said Thanks for coming. Food was Onolicious (taste great) which being first timers the menu was explained to us. Fish Chips was perfectly battered. Corned beef cabbage was enjoyed by my daughter. Wife Loved her Shepards pie. Tiger lager was nice priced well. Josh was awesome serving us!
I 'm not super accustomed to writing bad reviews and I hesitate with how many stars to actually leave them with, but am going to go with 2 simply for the fact that the menu was very reasonable priced for the decent quality of the food that was correct, and the drinks were pretty cheap and also good. We showed up at 11am on a Sunday morning. Google said the brunch started at 11. The website and brunch menu listed on their website (and the brunch menu we were given in person) said 11am. Everything seemed to say 11am but when we showed up the manager met us outside and advised they didn 't actually open until 11:30. He was very friendly and when asked if it might be possible to get some drinks while we waited he said no problem and they got that ball rolling. Our server actually ended up taking our orders before 11:30 as well. We had some mimosas, **** Marys, a few of the cocktails with Guiness/black currant/champagne, those were all good. Our problems mainly started when the food arrived. One friend ordered the Seafood Skillet which was mostly correct but missing the peppers and onions, and the toast was left off. My husband got the corned beef hash which was good, but missing the peppers and onions. Another friend ordered the Creme Brulee French Toast, which she said was good and probably worth $8 but it was basically French toast made with a bun, and there wasn 't really any brulee involved. Two of us ordered the chicken breakfast, which the menu said came with beer battered chicken tenders, 2 eggs, rye toast, gravy, and hashbrowns. We were served small plates with 2 small tenders and the eggs. Nothing else. He had asked for scrambled eggs with cheese, and they were served with a slice of American cheese barely melted on top. We addressed our issues with our server, but as it was his first day working brunch he got the manager for us. He seemed to be trying to be helpful, and they did remake the eggs with the cheese melted inside, but even after all was said and done I never received the toast for my meal, and it seemed our server might have been doing his best to avoid us after the issues. They advised that they had a new chef who used to work for them but just started back, and the server was also new to brunch, but even with the managers help not everything was fully fixed. I think the food was alright for the price point, and they did have a good outdoor space, but we were also the only table on a sunny Sunday morning for the entire hour and a half that we were there, and still had a host of issues. I wish I had pictures, but the plate I was served was so underwhelming I did not take any.
The food was tasty! I shared the Pierogies with Shrimp and the Salmon Boxty with my friend. I highly recommend these dishes. As an appetizer if you like crab, try the crab dip! It came out so nice and warm! The staff was friendly and the place was clean. They have a nice outdoor area too!
My boyfriend and I pulled in to Mack's bar and grill. We noticed barely anyone was there and The Celtic Tiger parking lot almost packed. We decided we would try The Celtic Tiger and I am so glad we did. On our first visit I got The Bangers and Mash and my boyfriend had Corned beef and Cabbage. It was the best Irish food I had in a very long time. I'm a skinny girl with a tiny stomach that normally cannot hold much food. I don't know what it was but I cleared my plate it was that good. The second time we went back I had The bookmaker which was just as good and my boyfriend had a Reuben. We have found a new spot that has great food, fast service, everyone is friendly, great atmosphere. Definitely give it a try.
