The overall experience was excellent, with good food and a laid-back atmosphere with no pressure. The brasserie has a retro vibe similar to many restaurants in France, with unhurried and friendly service. We are planning to return soon for the three-course Sunday roast!
Food here is great. Atmosphere here is ok hotel bar type atmosphere so quite relaxed and informal. The service is good some excellent staff here. Have eaten here a lot and rarely have bad service. Looking forward to my next visit
The staff were lovely and the brasserie area was comfortable with nice decor... Unfortunately both main meals were barely ok. The sea bass was cooked well but was served with tasteless accompaniments. I had the Scampi and Monkfish in a basket but the fish was tasteless and dry. I had the lemon meringue which was really nice but again my partners dessert lacked flavour although the presentation was good. All in all, not good but not bad...I was really excited about finding a new place to dine but left disappointed.
We visited this restaurant for the third time, this time for Sunday lunch. They had a special Sunday lunch menu in addition to their regular menu. The four of us decided to order from the regular menu. The fish curry was highly recommended, but I opted for the Gunpowder chicken which was absolutely delicious. The sweet potato fries were a bit underwhelming, but overall we enjoyed our meal. Our waiter was outstanding and provided us with some excellent wine suggestions.
We frequently dine at the main restaurant, which offers excellent food. However, we were very disappointed with the brasserie. The dishes were expensive, of poor quality, and poorly presented. We paid £16.95 for scampi and chips, which was not worth it. We have no plans to return to the brasserie in the future.
