Most of the lakeside is set aside for anglers but there's one dedicated spot for dogs and if you rent a boat or a kayak from the boating club, you can picnic on their grassy slope and even feed the ducks. There's plenty of open space to throw balls for dogs or have a kickabout or just to sit and chill. Its a pretty spot and within spitting distance of the town centre of Congleton. Just beware, it gets busy in the car park on nice days and the toilets are currently shut due to covid19.

Really nice to walk around. open green areas, forest and they can see the mere of different points. large enough for social distance. we spent an hour here at 11.30 a.m. on a Sunday and the parking was busy. cost 50p for 4 hours parking and the machine does not change. mix of families, dog walkers and cyclists. want to go back longer and maybe take a picnic.
Beautiful place to go her dog or go for a run. the footpath is usually wide round, so it is easy for people to pass without becoming too close. parking is £0.50 minimum, only cash.
A really nice place for a short walk. it is only about a mile around the bare on wheelchair-friendly because and on 50p parking for four hours, it is reasonable to park. it is dog friendly, with areas for them to be out of the guide, with many dog waste containers. they even have a small area for dogs to paddle or swim when their dog like water.
