However, we decided to try for lunch again this weekend and the difference was upsetting. I stood in the queue behind five or six people and there was a chalkboard with 30 minutes wait for food written on it. Okay so 30 mins, not too long to wait, but as I moved down the queue it got updated to 40 minutes then 60 minutes. No way is it acceptable to wait 60 minutes for food! The tea would have been cold after 15 minutes. Would they have replaced with a fresh pot. I don 't think so. This is such a joke to expect people to wait for an hour for a meal. Come on STRIKES. Get more staff, you must be able to afford it. Shall not be back until they improve the waiting times.
I have children with allergies and unfortunately, the chef at this restaurant mixed up our orders. I had to follow the waiter to the kitchen to ensure that they knew about my kids' allergies. Despite this, the chef still put the contaminated sausages and eggs on the same plate and then transferred them to separate plates with chips. The waiter then brought them out and claimed that everything was "sorted." This was extremely unsafe as both the sausages and eggs were contaminated. When I brought this to the attention of the person who took my order, she spoke to the chef who seemed angry. I'm not confident that we received a fresh meal the third time as my 3-year-old has been complaining of stomach pain since. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant. I only gave 1 star because there was no option for 0. This was a very unsafe and concerning experience.
Undercooked scones and worst millionaire shortbread ever tasted. Cappuccino also weak and served with chocolate sprinkles when we requested without any. Pity, used to be really nice a year or two ago.
Had visited this restaurant which was located in a garden centre in Poynton found all staff members very helpful especially seb who made my mocha to Perfection I also had the sourdough stack with pouch egg and avocado which was very nice told Seb how I would like it was prefect the carrot cake was made to perfection soft and Moist would like to thank the chef I did not get the name of the chef but would like to thank her for the things she does
I have been a patron of Brookside Golf Club for many years and had never had a reason to complain until my visit yesterday. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and we decided to sit outside to enjoy the weather with some scones and tea. When we asked if there was a sun canopy available for our table, we were told by a staff member that they did not have them. Despite this, we chose to stay outside as many inside tables had not been cleared. Unfortunately, the scone we ordered (which is usually delicious) was the worst we have ever tasted - heavy, thin, and tasteless. I have always believed that establishments like this should have full staff and maintain a high standard of food when open on public holidays. It is disappointing to see that many places are prioritizing profit over quality. Additionally, it took us 25 minutes to be served.
