I absolutely adore having brunch at the Flower Cup in Chester. Every dish I've tried there has been delicious, nutritious, affordable, and of excellent quality. My top picks are the smoked salmon and avocado on granary toast, and the blueberry pancakes. The coffee is superb, hands down the best in Chester. The ambiance at the Flower Cup is charming, and the staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend the Flower Cup to anyone seeking fantastic food and coffee in Chester.
Today I departed from my usual avocado and smoked salmon, to try the October special, spiced pumpkin French toast, and was not disappointed. Even though I am not a huge fan of pumpkin this was absolutely delicious. The pumpkin purée was sweet and crunchy thanks to the seeds, I don’t know what was in the delicious concoction that topped the French toast but it was awesome. The menu is very different to the usual chain coffee shops, so much choice, and specials change regularly. Prices are reasonable too, usually 2 mains and 2 drinks for well under £30. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the Flower Cup.
Lovely colourful cafe, lots of plants and artwork around. Eaten here a few times and the food is always tasty and the staff are friendly and attentive. Today's halloumi bap had loads of halloumi, although I did add guac to the bap and think it was needed. Also picked up some earrings for a Christmas present whilst I was there.
It’s a shame because the menu sounds really great and like it has so many options, but the food is really naff especially for the prices. Spending almost £40 on breakfast drinks for two ppl and thinking that the brekky you make at home is better is a bit disheartening. Could not taste any of the coffee syrup in our drinks, felt like non had been put in, and no seasoning on most of the breakfast food and quite greasy and bland. Staff are friendly though but that’s the only positive.
