Where do I start with this horrific place. 2 and a half hours for mains and puddings. Food is disgusting with the service to match. Ordered kids meal and they brought the cheesy garlic with the babys main. Waitress (of which there was several all as useless as each other didn't have a clue about the menu. Nearly every meal had something missing off it ,ran out of Yorkshire puddings but didn't bother telling us when ordering.Ordered tender stem brocoli with King prawns linguine which came with no king prawns and no broccoli (unbelievable . Mixed grill was abysmal the plate floating in grease ,maybe that was to soak the bone dry effort of the piece of chicken I got the steak and sausages looked like they was cooked last week . Creme brulee came In a massive soup bowl and one spoonful of that was enough of whatever it actually it was. Actually try to charge me for king prawns in the linguine even though there wasn't any in it. If I wasn't with my family I wouldn't of even paid for the absoulte tripe they served us. Customer service is non existent ,the staff couldn't wait to finish there shift. If your going to ask me if everything was OK with the meal and I reel a list off of everything that's wasn't OK don't just shrug your shoulders and say sorry,do something about it you clown. If you have booked this place for Christmas I'd strongly advise you to reconsider because the place is has rapidly gone down hill ran by kids with no customer service and chefs that I wouldn't trust with a microwave. Stay well away from this shambles of a restaurant.
My wife and I hadn’t had a meal here in many years but it’s very close to home and is getting some good reviews so we thought we’d give it a try for lunch. The décor is very modern and tasteful. The waiter very quickly provided menus for food and drinks. We ordered from the main menu. Drinks came quickly as did the food. I had the liver parfait as a starter which was very good – the toasted bread was excellent. My wife had calamari which was OK but nothing special. I chose fish and chips for my main and my wife went for the giant prawn skewers. My battered haddock was excellent. The chips were nicely cooked but not very tasteful – I wonder what variety they were. I didn’t think much of the crushed peas. The giant prawns weren’t exactly giant and overpowered by spices. We would have ordered dessert but we finished our mains and after about half an hour waiting for the dessert menu I went to the bar and asked for the bill. The waiter was apologetic but said he was on his own. True but there were at least four young ladies around who seemed to have little to do. The meal wasn’t exactly cheap and the quality I would rate as slightly better than your average pub. So, ultimately disappointing.
Outstanding! Best breakfast around, and I’ve had a few!!!! Excellent produce but the service is top drawer. Nothing was too much of a hassle, fried my, professional and prompt. The owners are pleasant and friendly and both who took time out to speak with my family this has to be the best breakfast around and a must! Value for money and a great experience thanks you all will be there gain next time we are in town. The beer garden and venue are excellent. And eh historical Aspects of the 610 Squadron Bar and Grill is great.
On a Saturday evening, four adults and two children had a meal at this restaurant. Overall, the food was good, but one person in our group ordered a mixed grill that was very tough and they were not asked how they wanted it cooked. This was the only issue we had with the food. Unfortunately, there was a loud "baby shower" happening in the adjacent room, which greatly affected the atmosphere in the dining room due to the excessive noise. If we were to visit again, we would not go if there was an event happening in the adjacent room. The restaurant should consider reevaluating their layout to prevent diners from having to endure excessive noise levels.
