Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I had my first breakfast experience at Cracker Barrel, and it was fantastic! Everything was delicious, and I really enjoyed the strawberry mimosas. Our server, Janell, was outstanding and very attentive to all our needs. We had a wonderful meal!

I ordered the Country Boy breakfast, which included steak and eggs. I requested my steak cooked medium and my eggs cooked over medium. The steak was a nice-sized cut and cooked well, although I typically order my steak medium at restaurants because it often comes out closer to medium rare, which was the case this time. My over-medium eggs ended up being on the softer side and quite runny, but they were still delicious when I mixed them with my grits to soak up the juice. The biscuits and gravy were fantastic, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were, even after finishing everything else. Ms. Tyler was very attentive, refilling our drinks and bringing us a to-go box.

Ordered the cheesecake pancake meal with chicken sausage and a side of hash browns. Food was delicious and filling. Servers and hostess were nice. Restaurant was accommodating to our party of about 20.

Pulled into Cracker Barrel at the Chester at Chester Virginia location for a free complimentary camping night stay during one of the worst thunder and lightning storms this season! Was traveling in my car with my service dog, thank you Cracker Barrel! And thank you Google for partnering, what wonderful information. (It is 3 a.m. I got a nap and I made it to North Carolina this morning. Thank you , thank you!

Like many restaurants after the pandemic, this one is experiencing staffing shortages. We waited about 45 minutes for our food, which usually takes no more than 15 minutes. We showed patience, as we are understanding people. Our server appreciated our patience, and the food was plentiful and delicious as always. On our return visit today, the experience was much better!
