They have the cutest outdoor patio with a fair amount of seating. Seating inside is limited. The vibe is shabby chic farmhouse, although there is a super cool older motorcycle inside. But I guess what old farm doesn't have a motorcycle somewhere on the property?! Lol. They have several homemade baked goods in their display case, along with several refrigerated soda/beverage options. Everything on their menu looked delicious! We ended up getting the meatloaf Sandwich, grilled cheese, and a chicken curry salad sandwich. The meatloaf Sandwich was surprisingly delicious! Meatloaf isn't my go to meat for a sandwich, but it revoked childhood memories for my Dad. The meatloaf was tender, with great flavor, and such a thick slice on homemade bread. I may not have been a fan before, but I'm converted to Meatloaf sandwiches now! The grilled cheese is NOT your average grilled cheese. Multiple cheeses melted to perfection, bread perfectly toasted, and a side of apricot jam. The jam pairs perfectly with the salty cheese. Then the Curry Chicken salad on naan/pita style bread. The chicken is so tender, the Curry dressing has a great curry punch without being overwhelming, plus the addition of pecans and dried currants provided great texture and a hint of sweetness. I would definitely order it, and everything else we got, again! We also got a slice of lemon cake and a homemade chocolate chip cookie. The lemon cake was a bit dense like a pound cake, with lemon icing. I loved it! Even though a little dense it had a great crumb and was still very moist. The cookie was just the best homemade chocolate chip cookie you've ever had. I love the small batch homemade approach to great food, and it's a refreshing addition to Chester. Only open for breakfast/lunch so plan on hitting it up early! I think you'd be very hard pressed to find something in the menu that isn't super yummy!
Toasty for the win!!!!! Cook cook and muffin so good!! Great spot in the middle of Chester atmosphere is adorable and super clean.
The ladies in this shop are so friendly!I popped in mainly asking for directions to a day use area when we got done camping, and they genuinely rallied at the counter to help me find a good beach for us to finish our trip, even writing down directions for us; It may have been a distracation because, while they were talking about spots, their bannana bread crept up my nose, and I just had to buy 2 slices before I left.... MMMMMMMM! Everyone in the truck was happy I did, and most of us agreed it was some of the best bannana bread we've ever had Not Kidding! Please, if you are in the area, stop by this spot, and try! You will not be disappointed!
Best quiche I’ve had in a long time. Vegetarian friendly. Great coffee (French press), too.
Big recommendation for this wonderful little restaurant in old town Chester. Everything is made fresh daily. Very health menu. This is a one of a kind place to eat and I can't say enough good!!! Go try it!!!
