Phil Jim's Delicatessen - Chester

I live in West Deptford, NJ and I drive over the Commodore Barry Bride to enjoy the Italian Hoagie made here. I can't find an Italian Hoagie who's made like Phil and Jims somewhere. As soon as I eat, I'll throw the sandwich until I'm running a hoagie in the future.

Best Steaks and Hoagies around! There's a reason why professional baseball players living in California rave about this place — they know their stuff. I've been coming here since the owners left Scott Paper to start this place. Back in the day, we used to take hoagies on fishing trips to North Carolina. Now, I bring them to California to share with a new generation of Phil and Jim fans who were too young to enjoy them when they were still in the area, as well as their spouses, new California enthusiasts, and my best friend, a Chester native who was dining there the other day. The best Italian hoagie in Philadelphia! They slice the meat right onto the roll. Absolutely amazing!

This is one of my favorite steak and hoagie joints. And they've added a dine-in area which is really cool showcasing iconic area sports and organizations memorabilia!!!
