The Village Bistro - Chester

Love this new eatery in Chester and the warm vibe at this cozy candelabra lit bar. Chelsea and her team are off to a great start as the service and food are exceptional. The dishes are creative and exemplify the pedigree of this accomplished Chef. Looking forward to many more fun nights at the Village Bistro.

Four stars might be a bit generous, but I can’t say it was all bad. The service was great. My fiancé ordered the chicken which was also great maybe a little on the dry side but nothing to complain about. However, I ordered Asian style noodles since there was no dairy in it and the taste was overwhelmingly garlicky. To the point where I couldn’t taste any other flavor except garlic. Thankfully I like garlic, but do not order this dish if you don’t. I also ordered pork belly for some protein on my noodles which was not only dry, but hard as a rock. It was literally like charcoal. I only complain at a restaurant if the food is somehow inedible. In this case, I hate to say that the pork was not edible. I will keep it at 4 stars since the restaurant is new, the service was fantastic they took the pork belly off the bill , and we are willing to give it a second shot. Our bill came to a little over 60 without any drinks and with the pork belly taken off the bill. Hopefully it will be better the second time around!

Absolutely amazing! I loved the steak I bought, and the waiters that serve me were very friendly! I would recommend this place every day to talk about quality and to round it off, the waitress in the conversation and made the environment very welcoming. when I come back to the harbour after the sub-deployment, this will undoubtedly be my first station for a wonderful evening meal! a thing that has nothing to do with the restaurant, it is hard to get a Uber ride from the opposite, for all that applies.

This was my first time at Village Bistro. What a delight to bring to Chester! Its quaint and intimate atmosphere with an old world charm draws you right in immediately. The drinks and food were equally as incredible, following with me ordering seconds. I’m very particular in regards to hummus and this one made from scratch blew any other hummus that I’ve tried out of the water! End of story, get in your veggie count for the day too and order some of those yummy charred snow peas can I say yummy? You’ve never had them doctored up like this! ? You won’t be disappointed. Get your seat reserved already and make a reservation because you truly won’t be disappointed

My wife and I stumbled upon this gem of a place while celebrating our 17th anniversary this past weekend. The cocktails Chelsey made us were beyond delicious, my wife claiming that the Huckleberry Finn was the best she's ever had. The fava bean hummus appetizer was so good we ordered more bread to gobble it up. The burger with the bacon jam is like nothing else you've ever tasted you just have to try it. And the duck was excellent too. We almost left without dessert but ended up having the carrot cake something my wife doesn't normally get because so few places do it well. It was so good and different that it's just up there with burger. Just get it.
