The Sand Dollar Beach Kitchen

Went to the Sand Dollar for dinner, started with the chips and dip. It was slow to come out--but was delicious so no biggie. Our server, James T. was awesome!! Went behind the bar to hunt down a color changing cup for me.. the best! Veggie burger was pretty good, too. We will be back!

After following this restaurant on FB, my sister and I decided to meet there for lunch. It is so cute! We felt like we had just walked off the OBX Beach Road. It was a Tuesday and they offered many Taco Tuesday specials. We ordered Mahi and Shrimp tacos and margaritas. The tacos were delicious! Very fresh and the pickled red onion and sauce were perfect. Our drinks were refreshing and the alcohol wasn?t overwhelming. Definitely eating here again! We loved the outdoor seating too.

This is our family's favorite restaurant. They offer healthy options and serve fresh food. They even have choices for our very picky kids, who always ask to eat here! It's a hidden gem in Midlothian, and I love that it's locally owned and operated. Taco night is fantastic, and my personal favorite is the turkey burger!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The drinks were delicious, and the food was equally tasty. Our bartender, James, was friendly and made us feel welcome. However, I do wish they would consider changing the music to better suit the restaurant's ambiance. Techno music at 11:30 on a Tuesday isn't the best fit!

If you're looking for a beach-themed restaurant with lots of charm, this is the spot for you. The staff is friendly and the establishment is well-kept. They offer a wide variety of options for brunch and lunch, along with an extensive adult beverage menu. We had arranged a reservation with the management for our party of 36, but surprisingly, only one waitress was assigned to us. She did her best, quickly bringing out water and taking our orders. However, it was a hot day, and our water glasses weren’t refilled. Some dishes, like the fried cauliflower, arrived too quickly and were cold in the center. The wings were overcooked and dry. On a positive note, my California Cobb Salad was enjoyable. Unfortunately, plates weren’t cleared away promptly, and the wind started blowing everything around. I think I’ll need to come back another time to see how they handle a smaller table. Hopefully, I'll be able to update this review and add an extra star.
