Gastro 49 Pub Eatery - Chesterton

The food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I tried the pulled pork sandwich with a side salad, and it was delicious! I asked for the sauces on the side because I'm allergic to peppers, but they were both fantastic—more sweet than spicy, which was perfect for me.

Gastro 49 is an excellent spot for both dining and socializing. Their delicious burgers and extensive beer selection are just two of the many reasons to visit. In addition to burgers, they offer fantastic salads, soups, and appetizers. The restaurant features a family dining area, as well as a bar with extra seating at high-top tables. They also boast a wonderful outdoor deck that accommodates around 45 guests. Recently, they've repaved their parking lot and adorned the building's exterior with beautiful artwork created by a talented artist, which truly enhances the ambiance. The owner, Rollie, has made remarkable improvements to this beloved Chesterton restaurant and bar.

This place is great! When we showed up they were super understaffed but warned us ahead of time it would take about 10-15 mins for server to come to our table. We really appreciated the honesty! You could tell they were all helping each other out. Ourfood was so yummy and warm! Would definitely go back. Such kind people. The young guy who was hostess was so nice! I know it?shard being understaffed personally so was very impressed with how hard staff was working to take care of everyone.

They serve tachos! What more could I ask for? If you're a fan of tater tots like I am, you have to try them. My boyfriend ordered the double 8 oz burger with fries and jalapeño poppers. We also enjoyed the caramel apple sangria (which was sweet) and the blood orange margarita. The food was excellently prepared, served hot, and well-seasoned. I will definitely return when we're in the area again.

You have to try the tacho dishes! Do I really need to say more? If you enjoy bold flavors like I do, you won't be disappointed.
