Jellyfish Joel's Beach - Chestertown

There's always a good time to be had at JJ. Just be prepared for a lively atmosphere. It's mostly boaters enjoying music and drinks. If you're from the western shore and looking for a vacation vibe, this is the perfect spot.

The restaurant is situated in a fantastic location with a lovely sandy beach, perfect for enjoying drinks with friends. However, I couldn't give it a full 5 stars because my partner and I stood at the main bar for over 15 minutes without being attended to. We felt overlooked, as the bartenders glanced our way several times but chose to serve a younger Scandinavian girl who approached after us. Frustrated by the lack of service, we decided to walk over to the concession stand about 100 feet away, where a friendly woman behind the counter happily served us beers.

There is only something about Jellyfish Joel's that takes the weight from my shoulders, helps me relax. It's like going to an island without a departure! I just love it! Great drinks, music fun in the sun!

Wasted trips there by boat, erratic hours of operation and too lazy to update their website . I called before going twice and they said they were open only to find out they were'nt. Unless you have a friend who is physically there to tell you I would not bother.

Good place to go hang out in the water and have fun.
