The rice was also very soggy and tasted bland with no flavor. The price was $30 for a side of jollof rice and suya, I’m very disappointed and won’t be returning to this location. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Man I should’ve read the reviews before wasting my time and money at this establishment. First, it took forever to place my order and close to an hour to walk out with my food. I grew up eating jollof rice so my expectations were high and boy was I disappointed! This definitely ain’t right! It was more of like under flavored parboiled rice with tomato paste and microwaved frozen fried plantains. And to make matters worse, I saw what looked like an eyelash in the “stew”. What a waste of ! I haven’t tried anything else on their menu so I can’t say much about them but stay away from the “jollof rice”
The cassava leaf prices at this restaurant is ridiculously high I wouldn’t recommend…..other African restaurants in the area sells it for less and it tastes way better than this restaurant and that lady with the glasses has attitude problems and I don’t know why they are so stingy with putting meat.
Dreadful. I had to look at other comments to be sure I wasn't imagining things. I don't understand how some restaurants operate under the radar of health officials. This one ought to have been shut down...padlocked for good. This is a ****** waste of money and time. The arrogance of the owner of the restaurant is unbelievable, but one must understand that it is a tribal/ethnic disease. Save yourself the agro, I have had one for your sake...Just Walk Away.
The place looks decent, their food is great and the workers are excellent with great customer service
