If you 're frequent, ask for a loyalty card. Salad Concept 's menu is not vegan friendly so it 's best to avoid it and order a custom salad (or wrap). If you don 't order premium toppings, it 's quite cheap. I also don 't recommend ordering extra toppings beyond the free ones because you 'll get less lettuce (unless you hate lettuce that is). The tortillas they use for wraps look like the ones from supermarket not the most healthy. The biggest downside is the choice of vegan dressings. I only know sesame, vegan cheese (see below), tamarind, Japanese soy sauce, French, carrot, passionfruit. All but the first one are too runny for a wrap. The last three are also quite sour and pungent (not for everyone). Apparently, their tofu dressing is not vegan (may contain honey or garlic who knows). Garlic is sometimes considered non veg in Buddhism. If you know more, please comment here. I don 't recommend their juices because they 're heavily diluted with water. I only order custom salads and some appetizers (potato fries and fried tofu). P.S. Vegan mac 'n 'cheese is quite disgusting and not recommended (better to get it at Munchies). It 's basically overcooked pasta with vegan cheese dressing which doesn 't taste anything like cheese. Good option for Foodpanda delivery. Updated from previous review on 2019 09 01
I could eat at the salad concept every day (we pretty much do! The staff are super friendly, the ambiance is great and the wraps/salads are deliciously fresh and tasty. Most of the staff members know about veganism too. Great value for money, we always leave absolutely stuffed. PLUS the chocolate frap is vegan and its amazing!
I remember the first time I went into the, original, Salad Concept restaurant in Nimman in 2013 and thought it was so quirky yet brilliant how you can make up your own salad with the little forms found on the tables. So you get 5 free toppings and a dressing for your salad creation, then you can add things on as your taste buds, and budget, desire. The prices are clearly marked on the menu, as well as the SFV salad dressings and toppings. When you are done, you simply pass the check over to your waiter which is also a bonus when said person might not be the super confident at communicating with you inEnglish.
Large portions and you know you’ll get the same quality every time. I am not a huge fan of the tofu, but that’s just a personal preference.
