Monsoon Cafe Maihama - Chiba

The atmosphere is fun and staff is great, but they could work on their vegan options. The roll is basically just some salad leaves in rice paper, and I couldn't have the wok dish as I can't eat spicy food.

Monsoon Cafe has a reduced menu at this time due to COVID. I went recently and saw only one item on the menu marked as vegan (rice paper roll). They don't have other markings for vegetarian. I hope Monsoon Cafe can return to the expanded menu with more veg choices in the future until then you will struggle unless you can negotiate something off menu in fluent Japanese. Staying at Tokyo Bay its super easy to get to and the staff we're nice. They asked us if we were vegan and the menu has easily identified vegan option meals. We had the tofu and noodle soup and the Vietnamese vege fried rice.

We were staying in a hotel down at Disneyland so it was really great to find somewhere that did a few different vegan dishes, the portions were small but we ordered multiple different dishes, all were full of flavour and served by friendly staff! Monsoon has such a nice atmosphere as well, loved it!
