Food is good, but came with higher expectations. The ramen soup was good but not the best I've ever had, the sushi was good and my favorite part was the bao! I like it, but I don't love it.
The restaurant has an unusual layout and atmosphere. The service is slow and disorganized. The cuts of fish are excellent, but the quality of the rolls varies. I would not suggest ordering the spicy tuna. However, the cocktails are delicious.
Takeaway: this place is becoming a go to; the sushi is delcious and they are very creative with their rolls and other offerings on the menu. The service was great when we walked in on a Saturday night. They weren't terribly busy which was shocking giventhe quality of the meal. Really enjoyed the range of the menu and the miso pork belly buns were perfection. They interior is abit kitschy and well-loved, but the food more than makes up for it.
The food was fantastic, but unfortunately, the service was lacking in communication amongst the staff. It took over 20 minutes for someone to come to my table and another 15 minutes to get my drink. My food arrived before my cocktail, leading to a disappointing experience with the staff, who seemed disorganized. With so many great sushi options available, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but I would recommend getting takeout. The food was well-prepared and presented nicely.
