Arepa George - Chicago

Came to check out this tiny little spot that did not disappoint. We are fans of Colombian cuisine and super critical since it is native to my adoptive parents. The food was delicious, shout out to the salad, it was very impressive!The meats were perfectly cooked and overall we were satisfied.Sidenote: The menus in house do not have prices, which I found a little odd. All line items default to MP Market Price, but they weren't serving seafood. I'm not familiar with every item on a menu being market price. ? And after the bill came I was a bit shocked that the food was so expensive.

The waiter was always in a hurry. We felt rushed to speak to him, as he was trying to walk away. Made us feel as if we were bothering him. Did not offer water, we had to ask for it. It's not the best service; which made our eating experience a two star.Food: 4/5

First time ordering food from this place, I order some empanadas they were salty and old, I order some chicharro they gave me only one small burned piece and 3 piece of yuca frita it tasted nasty. Never going back very disappointed. I will never recommend this place.Food: 1/5

We used ArePA George for a catering event at work and had a great experience. Delicious food, great people. Our guests raved about the food. Everything is gluten free and many items can be vegan it's a great way to meet dietary restrictions and feed a large group! Highly recommend!

Arepa George's catering staff are extremely helpful and communicative when assisting us with the staff Luncheon. The food was so flavorful, filling and accommodated all of our staff food restrictions(vegetarian, vegan and gluten intolerance). They are super friendly and professional.Mil Gracias Arepa George
