Basant Modern Indian - Chicago

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant space is beautiful, modern, well designed, and very comfortable. Love the ambient background music! Friendly and welcoming service from the front-of-house greeter, to the waitstaff (servers and support staff). And the food…wow. Flavorful, fragrant, well presented, and simply delicious. I love a modern twist on a traditional cuisine and Basant did not disappoint. And great bar service as well. This was my first visit and I’m already looking forward to the next. There’s a lot of the menu that I still want you to try.

Basant went above and beyond my expectations the food was some of the best Indian food I have had in a very long time get the Chicken Basant; it is amazing, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was warm and cozy the perfect way to spend a cold and rainy December evening. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning in the future.

Great atmosphere. The restaurant was full on the night we were there so the noise level was high. The staff was attentive The food is excellent and the drink options are extensive.
