The Chinese broccoli wasn?t over cooked and still have a little crunch! Little one loves the beef lo-Mien. The lo-mein noodle was soft, chewy, but not hard . The beef in both dishes have the same seasoning. The chicken was good with the green onion dipping! Eventhe chicken breast was juicy. The chicken With or with out the dipping was flavorful to me . Can?t wait to return .
I think I just would have had a better review if it weren't for the fact that she brought me cold food that seemed like it had been sitting there. I had to ask her to heat it up. I really wish I had the experience i wanted. Something about first impressions; it changed everything!I ordered roasted Pork. The skin had the best crunch in the world, great flavor, juicy; yet they serve me food that had to be reheated? The plum sauce with the pork was amazing! Also the Lo mein (thick noodle) with shrimp was amazing! My review is from my entire experience as a whole however. They serve hot tea, but it's lipton and gross. They could've have Jasmin tea, Oolong or anything else but lipton.I'm hope and an assured more will have better experiences than me, but sucks. We took it to go.Next time (if there's one) I know to see what is being made fresh and get that!!!
We got the family dinner with BBQ pork, chicken, shrimp, and vegetables. The pork was over cooked so that the fat was gristly and chewy rather than tender and melt-in-your-mouth.Chicken was ok although unmemorable. Shrimp had a good flavor. The bok choy was surprisingly tasty and definitely the star.Overall, a bit disappointing but at least the price wasn't too steep.
This place has been on my radar for a while now. It seems to have a large following online, especially the Peking duck. I am usually not a duck person, but after trying the Peking duck for the first time during a recent trip to Chicago, this is now one of my top favorite dishes. The crispy duck skin with bao is an absolute delight. I highly recommend this tiny, somewhat outdated restaurant with incredible Chinese food.
I ordered the two meat on rice. I chose duck and chicken.I thought that there was too much bone in the chicken and duck. The little bowl of carrot soup was bland. The tea was hot but also bland. If you're hungry, this place is ok.I had high hopes for this restaurant, given its location. The egg rolls were pretty good, big, and crunchy. I almost ordered the crab rangoon.
