Go early for easy seating. BYOB so shop early or check the liquor store across the street. Ask your server about recommendations, I would encourage adventurous eating.

Great food and service the smoked mussels are to die for. We ordered several plates and everything came out quick and presentation was nice. Out of the things we tried the calamari was the only item that we didn't really like still good but justa tad over cooked for me. The Mango Mousse for dessert was one of my favorites. Its BYOB but no worries if you forget yourbottle there's a liquor store across the street.

We had a great time. The staff were extremely kind and generous, small plates where great and shared with everyone. We had an amazing experience.

Really mediocre. The best part of the dinner was the mango mousse. Other than that, nothing was memorable. It was also overpriced, and the waitress seemed unexperienced. She checked in on us every two minutes which was annoying.

The best thing is Blu 57 is a BYOB ... a serious savings for an upscale restaurant. While the dishes had a unique flair, and everyone enjoyed them, the timing was a bit off. The table next to us got their appetizer after their entree; another had individual entrees served at different times; our choices arrived sporadically, etc. We were ok, since we were sharing. Interesting menu; friendly wait staff; good flavor; all in all, very enjoyable. The chef (who I'm guessing is also the owner) needs an assistant or two.
