Dear Manager, I am reaching out regarding a concerning issue at your bar involving my lost driver’s license and debit card. When I stopped by the bar, I was informed that the case where bartenders keep customers' cards is currently missing. The chef took my contact information and mentioned that a manager, Bill if I’m not mistaken, would get in touch with me about this matter. I have made several attempts to call, but no one has answered, and the voicemail inbox is full. I visited your establishment last Sunday, August 27, for my daughter’s birthday celebration during the 90’s style video store pop-up event. While we were there, we were offered a complimentary drink. The bartender asked for my ID and credit/debit card to open a tab for any additional drinks we might want to purchase. I rarely visit bars, and my main reason for coming was the pop-up, but I understand that tabs are standard procedure, so I complied and handed over my cards. The bartender placed them in what appeared to be a wallet near the register. I didn’t order or consume any further drinks, and I completely forgot that my cards were at the bar when we left. Once I arrived home and realized, I attempted to call the bar, but couldn’t get through. Living over an hour away, I chose to wait for someone to drive me back on Monday, only to discover that the bar was closed on Monday and Tuesday. I returned yesterday, Wednesday, around 11:30 AM and spoke to the chef, who searched for my cards. He checked the usual safe for forgotten customer cards but couldn’t find them. He mentioned there was another case where my cards might be but that it was also missing. He found this situation unusual and assured me he would report it to the manager later in the evening. He took my contact information and said I should expect a call from the manager around 6:30 PM. Unfortunately, I never received that call, and I continue to have no responses to my attempts to reach out. I acknowledge that I should have remembered to retrieve my cards, but there is no reason they should not still be at the bar. My nephew, who works at a nearby bar, stated that it’s common for patrons to forget their cards, but it is unusual for them to be lost. He plans to visit your bar today to follow up on this matter. If my cards, especially my driver’s license, are not located, I will have no alternative but to file a police report for theft. Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious issue. Sincerely, [Your Name] [Your Contact Information]
Great spot! I really think it was a mistake to close this location. There was no announcement or advertising about the closure; I only found out when I arrived. The Belmont location is a bit...
My go-to “gross” food (in the best way possible). I’m not a huge gross food person but the first time I had the Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese here, I walked back to get another one immediately after. Fair warning, it’s a heart attack in a sandwich but sometimes absolutely necessary. Bread is amazing, cheese is amazing, I will never look anywhere else for “gross” food again.
I came here to order one of their famous grilled cheese sandwiches and it was a pop up shop not a grill and pub! So I had to order online only or thru a QR code outside the restaurant! and the wait time was 50 mins. Needless to say I was very disappointed at this location. It was a wasted trip.
