Chopo Chicken - Chicago

The location is good, and the food is satisfactory. The prices are average. I really enjoyed their Passion Fruit drink!

I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant for food orders. They've partnered with a delivery service called TryCaviar, but the experience was a disaster. Eager to try their food, I placed an online order and was charged the full amount. The confirmation receipt mentioned that my food would arrive in 30-40 minutes. However, after waiting nearly an hour, I called Chopo Chicken to inquire about my order. I spoke with the manager, who unfortunately was not helpful at all. He claimed they had no record of my order and insisted the problem was with TryCaviar, not them. If a restaurant promotes that you can order through their website, they should take responsibility for the service. Ultimately, I never received my food, didn't get any information regarding TryCaviar, and was still charged in full. Save yourself the trouble and don’t order from here.

I really enjoy visiting this restaurant, especially since it's just a short walk from my apartment. My boyfriend and I are absolutely in love with their fried sweet plantains; they are a must-try! They're the best I've had in the city. Additionally, the stir-fry bowls are delicious as well!

I ordered from this restaurant through DoorDash, and after 25 minutes, I received a call from DoorDash letting me know that the restaurant was out of chicken. Given that it's a chicken restaurant, that's pretty disappointing. This situation reflects poorly on the management, as they clearly don’t monitor their inventory effectively. It would be better to disable the DoorDash tablet than to keep customers waiting for items that aren't even available.

Pretty good food for reasonable price.
