You can enjoy a steaming cup of hot chocolate alongside a dessert or indulge in a latte with a pastry. They offer gourmet chocolate bars, mini chocolates, and large peanut butter cups, perfect for nibbling while sipping your hot chocolate or for gifting. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, so if you're unsure about which drink or dessert to choose, they can provide excellent recommendations. My personal favorite is the German chocolate cake, which is incredibly rich and satisfying—definitely skip lunch if you decide to indulge in that! After a chilly day, this place is a must-visit.
We've recently moved to the neighborhood and this place has become a favorite. Maple lattes are one of my favorite coffee shop treats to stumble across in a new coffee shop. The Lumberjack latte with maple and smoke is a unique and delicious example. I love the seasonal baked goods and treats. Even though their sweets are amazing, don't skip the savory pastries. They are some of my favorites. Meg (the pastry chef) has been great at answering questions and accommodating my daughter's nut allergies when we did a custom cake order last December.
The food and service were exceptional. We visited on a chilly Friday in December and enjoyed hot chocolate, cookies, pastries, and chocolates to take home. Everything was delicious, and I hope to return soon.
Incredible, beautiful pastries by Chef Meg Galus: cakes, cookies, danish, croissants!!! Full coffee menu with hot chocolate, and a vast selection of chocolate treats and bars, cocoa, and so much more. Great gift ideas for chocolate lovers.
For all chocolate enthusiasts, this shop is a true sanctuary dedicated to cocoa. In this area, I doubt you'll find another place that compares. I stopped in to enjoy a coffee and pastry, intrigued by the chocolate selection, but not in the mood for a chocolate drink. The store is a bit small, making the layout somewhat awkward, especially with social distancing measures in place. I ended up getting a latte that was slightly more expensive than I typically pay (which is common for La Colombe), and I also tried a very unique and delicious pastry! However, my overall experience was not great. The first employee was quite unhelpful and seemed disinterested in addressing my questions, despite me being the only customer. I found it difficult to read and understand the menu with all the food and drink options. Thankfully, a second employee came to assist me and offered some recommendations. While I'm excited about the various drinkable chocolate options, if I return, it would be solely for those. I didn't feel welcomed to explore the available choices, even as a solo customer.
