Commons Club - Chicago

This is a stunning venue for afternoon tea, especially for a special occasion. It's more enjoyable than traditional high teas offered in Chicago, with better and more substantial food options. The dishes were delicious! The boozy teas were pretty good, with some options standing out more than others (our table of four tried four different selections). They made my aunt's birthday special by bringing a glass rose with a candle, which was enchanting. Our server was lovely, and the ambiance was very chic. At $45, which includes a sizable cocktail (likely enough for two) along with about four savory and four sweet bites per person, the price is also quite reasonable compared to other establishments. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

There were issues everywhere. The portions were very small. I won't be coming back.

The food was fantastic, bursting with delightful aromas, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the squash soup, the cauliflower rice dish, and the apple pear salad. It's a perfect location before a theater production!

The service was absolutely horrendous. I'm not sure if the staff was having an off day or what, but there was no host at the entrance when we arrived, so we were pretty much wandering around for 15 minutes. I confirmed with the host the day before that we were coming for the upside down tea party and when we were finally seated, we were given a dinner menu instead of a tea menu. We waited 38 minutes for a server to finally come over to take our order. The vibe of the place was excellent, I would definitely come back just to see the place, but I don't think I would come back to eat/drink here.

I like the commons club. It was me and my lady's 1st time there. Our server (I believe his name was Conner) was great! The food portions were pretty small. We were back hungry after about a hour or so. But over all it was good. I will most def be back. PS You guys are officially number 4 in my top 10 calamari list.
