We opted for C4 (thinly sliced pork belly marinated in a special chili sauce) and I was pleased with our choice. I appreciate a good Korean BBQ spot, and one of the things I love about Deabak is that they cook the meat for you! When I mentioned this to a friend, she jokingly asked why she would pay to cook her own food at a restaurant. Growing up with the Korean BBQ concept, I had never thought about this, but now I can bring my friend here and not have to worry about cooking ourselves. Starting with the C1 pork belly was a great choice, as it had the thickness of pork bacon, a Korean classic. The C2 pork jowl was a bit salty for my taste, but the C4 thin meat with spicy flavor was delicious. We also enjoyed the chadol dwenjang (beef brisket in soybean paste stew), corn cheese, and steamed egg. It was all incredibly tasty.
Friendly host. We were seated right away. First time there the waitress explained the process throughly. Amazing food! Will def go back
We had an incredible experience with our server at this restaurant. She was very attentive, explaining the menu and every dish we ordered. She made sure our proteins were cooked perfectly and checked on us frequently. The food was delicious and bursting with flavor. This is definitely a fantastic place to dine with family, friends, or for a romantic date.
The food is decent, although the choices are limited. The ambience it is quite poor; very noisy, and a bit uncomfortable. I don't recommend it.
I had a fantastic dinner at Daebak! It may be a bit pricey at $45 per person, but the portion sizes and food quality were excellent. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone craving delicious Korean BBQ. Just keep in mind that the staff will do the cooking for you at your table, so you can sit back and enjoy the experience.
