The menu is not huge, which is perfectly fine and kind of appreciated, because what they do they do really really well. The pasta is super fresh, as are the ingredients. The sauces are well balanced and well flavored. The salads are excellent. We didn't get a chance to try the desserts as we were going to a performance at the Old Town School. The wine list is very good, again not huge but high quality, and reasonably priced. The inside space is a tad loud but that could be just because of who was there at the same time. It'll merit return visits for sure.
Wonderful food and great wine selections. Backyard patio less crowded than restaurant makes for a very nice spring evening.
The wine list is reasonably priced and provide a nice variety by the glass. The entrees are varied and all sounded fantastic. I had the ravioli with braised beef (or was it boar I forget). It was in a chianti reduction that was delicious. I highly recommend Due Lire. It was very easy to get in on a Thursday night and unfortunately for them wasn't filled all evening.
Fun, intimate, Italian local gem! Wonderful home made pasta dishes, and almost next door to the Old Town School of Folk Misic… great restaurant for dinner before a concert!
First time diners to Due Lire and what a nice surprise. Service was really well done and the food was incredible! Thank you Due Lire for a great pre-show dinner. Highly recommend.
