Gorditas San Marcos - Chicago

My family brought home food from Gorditas San Marcos, and it was phenomenal! The tacos were delicious. Not to mention the tortillas were made by hand which made the tacos so much better! Probably the best tacos I’ve had! Look forward to dining in?

When you enter the restaurant, you are greeted more often than not. The menu is very easy to understand, and has a wide selection of classic-authentic Mexican dishes! Amazing chef, in this family run restaurant, it gives a good homey authentic vibe while eating. The food itself is extremely good. Granted everyone has their own taste, but for the most part, from a subjective standpoint it’s really great, cooked with quality.

Had the biggest craving for some gorditas. Let me tell you this place was a hit their food was so flavorful with nice friendly staff. We will be returning soon. Go check them out!!! 10/10

Food was pretty unremarkable, chips were meh, but the biggest issue was the service. The waitress dropped a salsa bottle, which got all over me and the floor nearby. She didn't say anything, picked up the bottle and walked off. Another employee watching didn't offer a paper towel or rag while he watched me search for napkins to try and wipe myself off. Salsa was clearly all over and waitress came by to take everyone's order. After I finished wiping myself off with napkins, a waitress came by to offer a rag (a little too late). 3 employees ignored an inconvenience created by them, and thank you to the 4th that made an effort.Overall, I can't recommend this place as the food was mediocre at best and service is clearly lacking.
