Hoosier Mama Pie Company - Chicago

I wanted to gatekeep this hidden spot but the pie and atmosphere are simply too good!

I love it. Delicious breakfast sandwiches and hand pies. The menu varies by season sometimes. But the selection is great, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Small parking lot in the back is tight but somehow I always manage.

[At pet store on same block as Hoosier. Employee A: “I’m going to Hoosier Mama. Do you want anything?” Employee B: “I was just there.” Me: “I’m going there now. What would we do without Hoosier Mama?” We all laughed. That is what this place means to the neighborhood. It is full of heart, great food, and did I mention the ginger custard pie? Oh yeah. Pumpkin is amazing too. (I’m gluten free and love the Autumn salad and pies, minus the crust. Just go.

Cute and quaint. Delicious baked goods. Great fresh coffee. Chill vibes.
